Jacquelyn is motivated and passionate about defending human rights and social justice and brings that passion to all her cases at Lawyers for Justice, PC. At Santa Clara University School of Law, she held the positions of Research Editor of the Law Review and Managing Editor of the Journal of International Law, and was also involved in the Honors Moot Court External ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition.

On behalf of the International Human Rights Clinic at Santa Clara University, she takes particular pride of her Amicus Brief submission to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in support of petitioners’ right to health in Manuela y Otros vs. El Salvador. In her first summer at law school, Jacquelyn worked as a Policy, Research, and Advocacy Officer at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative in London, supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals in the Commonwealth Countries. She spent her second summer at law school interning for an Immigration Law Firm in San Jose to ensure proper process compliance with the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice’s San Francisco Immigration Court. During Jacquelyn’s final semester of law school, she interned with the Dependency Advocacy Center, appearing on matters of juvenile dependency in the Santa Clara County Superior Court.
